This program is geared to new runners, or those getting back into running. Over 12 weeks you will increase your running time, until you are able to complete a 5k

You don’t need to be a runner to start this program! The only prerequisites are that you are able to walk for 30 minutes at a moderate pace and you willing to challenge yourself!

There will be 2 group sessions per week, with homework to complete a third session independently. Each group session will be composed of 2 parts: a run and a workout. The run part of the session will begin with a brisk walk as a warm up, followed by an interval run. We will start out with short running intervals followed by longer walking intervals. Each session will be slowly increase the running time and decrease the walking time. Throughout the run you will have your coach encouraging you, providing feedback and ready to answer any questions you may have.

The second part of the session will be a group workout. Your coach will lead you through a simple workout that aims to strengthen your supporting muscles, to make your a stronger runner and help to avoid injury.
